Magna cum laude, Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University
Dr. Ryu graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 2000 having earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering. It was sports that eventually brought Dr. Ryu to his first experience with Chiropractic care. While playing tennis, he suffered a lower back injury, which was the worst pain he had ever experienced. It was affecting the quality of his life and his ability to do the things he loved to do. Initially, he received traditional medical treatment without satisfying results. Fortunately, he was referred to a chiropractor for help. He began getting adjusted regularly and thanks to chiropractic, his low back injury was resolved. Regular chiropractic care also helped Dr. Ryu get rid of migraines that he suffered from for several years. His improved health through chiropractic care inspired him to become a chiropractor himself, and he graduated magna cum laude in 2006 from Life University in Marietta, Georgia.

With 16 years of experience, Dr. Ryu's practice is very versatile and treats patients of all ages. He enjoys treating a wide variety of cases including, but not limited to: sports injuries, occupational injuries, families, sprain/strain injuries, pregnancy and motor vehicle accident injuries.

Dr. Ryu utilizes a comprehensive functional movement assessment to identify the causes of the problem. He integrates chiropractic adjustment with soft tissue therapy, such as Active Release Technique and Graston, and functional rehabilitation to provide comprehensive care for recovery and improving performance.

His goals are to help you be pain free, gain mobility, maintain wellness, and to perform your individual goals. He creates treatment plans based on your individual needs and focuses on ensuring a smooth recovery by prescribing at-home, condition-specific exercises to take your healing beyond the clinic.
He focuses his assessment to any areas of the body which exhibit symptoms and/or imbalances. By treating many athletes and their sports injuries, Dr. Ryu put an emphasis on treating extremity problems (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hips, knees, ankles/feet). He utilizes his expertise in extremity adjusting and soft tissue manual therapy to promote proper recover and optimal performance.

Dr. Ryu uses a very specific adjusting method known as the Gonstead Technique. The Gonstead system is one of the most advanced and scientific methods for correcting spinal misalignment or subluxations. Dr. Ryu took numerous courses over several years and became certified in the Gonstead Technique while at Life University. Dr. Ryu approaches the spine biomechanically and uses the Gonstead Technique to be as precise, specific, and gentle as possible to restore the affected vertebra back into place as effectively as possible so he can restore the integrity of your spine.

He utilizes a hands-on approach to motor vehicle injuries as well. His expertise in auto injuries provides patients with the most effective and comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation to ensure an optimal outcome. His wealth of knowledge and years of experience allow for a streamlines process for each case, in which he provides a clear narrative and detailed medical records for each patient.

Dr. Ryu enjoys playing tennis and soccer but most importantly, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Rachel, and their two amazing children, Joseph and Jayden.
