Originally from Leesburg, Georgia, Dr. Chandler Turnipseed (Dr. T) was introduced to chiropractic care while racing motocross. After recovering from a compression fracture in his thoracic spine, Dr. T visited his local chiropractic clinic to help alleviate the remaining pain and stiffness. After his first visit not only had the pain decreased dramatically, but he could move better and more freely while racing. It was not long after this that Dr. T was treated with Active Release Techniques for the first time. Within the first week of treatments with ART, the chronic hip and leg pain that had started nearly 8 years before was gone. These two instances solidified Dr. T’s future path as a doctor of chiropractic.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Wellness from Georgia Southwestern State University and his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida.
Dr. T's interest in working with athletes stems from his days playing baseball and racing motocross. He has treated competitive athletes in many sports such as triathalon, marathon, powerlifting, Crossfit, baseball, football, soccer, and motocross.
Dr. T uses movement assessment to analyze how a person moves in not just their day to day life, but also in their work and sport-specific movements. This is key in proper diagnosis and treatment of their conditions. In addition to traditional chiropractic adjustments, Dr. T uses soft tissue techniques such as Active Release Technique and Graston Technique to better treat his patients and is certified as an Advanced RockTape Provider in Fascial Movement Taping.
Dr. T also uses low force adjusting methods such as Activator Technique (Advanced Proficiency Rated) and Flexion-Distraction Technique and uses nutrition and rehabilitation exercise to help his patients recover from injuries and to continue to perform and move at the best of their abilities. The methods Dr. T uses are also very effective in helping patients recover from automobile accidents and more chronic issues as well.
Dr. Ryu graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 2000 having earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering. It was sports that eventually brought Dr. Ryu to his first experience with Chiropractic care. While playing tennis, he suffered a lower back injury, which was the worst pain he had ever experienced. It was affecting the quality of his life and his ability to do the things he loved to do. Initially he received traditional medical treatment without satisfying results. Fortunately, he was referred to a chiropractor for help. He began getting adjusted regularly and thanks to chiropractic, his low back injury was resolved. Regular chiropractic care also helped Dr. Ryu get rid of migraines that he suffered from for several years. His improved health through chiropractic care inspired him to become a chiropractor himself, and he graduated magna cum laude in 2006 from Life University in Marietta, Georgia.
Dr. Ryu's practice is very versatile and treats patients of all ages from children to grandparents. He enjoys treating a wide variety of cases including, but not limited to: sports injuries, occupational injuries, families, sprain/strain injuries, pregnancy and motor vehicle accident injuries. Dr. Ryu tailors treatments based on your individual needs and focuses on your overall well-being.
Dr. Ryu's interest in treating extremity problems led him to specialize in treating foot, ankle and knee problems. From helping children to adults, he welcomes patients of all ages suffering from problems in their feet, ankles and knees to find natural relief.
Dr. Ryu uses a very specific adjusting method, The Gonstead Technique. Dr. Ryu took numerous courses over several years and became certified in the Gonstead Technique while at Life University. His focus utilizing the Gonstead Technique is to be as precise, specific, and gentle as possible. He takes great care in restoring the affected vertebra back into place as effectively as possible so he can restore the integrity of your spine.
Dr. Ryu enjoys playing tennis and soccer. Most importantly, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Rachel and their two amazing children, Joseph and Jayden.
Introduced to chiropractic at a young age, Dr. Jong Lee has relied on this natural healing power to cure a chronic shoulder injury that he sustained during a National Judo Tournament in high school. His injury left him crippled from daily activities and it was labeled as “surgical” from medical doctors. Discouraged, Dr. Lee looked to chiropractic which ultimately resolved his injury, returning his shoulder to a normal range of motion. Eventually, he was able to fully return to practicing Judo. Dr. Lee was inspired by the natural philosophy of chiropractic and it led him towards his degree in Doctor of Chiropractic. He graduated Cum Laude in 2006 from Life University in Marietta, GA.
Specializing in muscle and functional movements and spinal alignment, Dr. Lee’s technique is superior for sport injuries and performance enhancement. Caring for athletes on all levels, from the professional to the weekend warrior, his detailed analysis and active treatment emphasizes an exercise prescription to reduce the risk of injury in the future. In addition, Dr. Lee’s active treatment is proven effective involving injuries related to automobile accidents.
Dr. Lee is continuously involved with many Atlanta community organizations, such as: various fundraising events, Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce, and the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP). He also offers workshops for the community focusing on athletic performance, pain management, and preventing injuries. In addition to speaking engagements, Dr. Lee is a treating doctor for events, which includes being an IRONMAN® Provider.
Dr. Lee’s goal is to return his patients back to their pre-injury status and educate them on maintaining wellness. He builds an ongoing relationship with his patients and takes an active role in their health. It’s Dr. Lee’s job to offer his patients the finest chiropractic care possible to get them pain free and healthy and it’s up to them to decide how much of it they want.
One of Dr Lee's favorite hobbies is scuba diving. He completed the NAUI Open Water Diver course in 2014 and is certified in underwater hunting, spearfishing and night diving. Though he most often dives in Florida waters, he has also enjoyed dives in Hawaii and Caribbean including Belize, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Japan.
Originally from Jackson, MS, Franchella "Frankie" Gordon moved to Georgia in 2007 after graduating from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She soon decided to further her education to pursue her passion for health and fitness. In 2010 she received her certification as a personal trainer with National Gym Association. Then shortly after, she graduated at the top of her Advance Massage Therapy program at Sanford-Brown College of Atlanta.
Her experience as a personal trainer has given her extensive knowledge of the body, muscles and movement. This is very beneficial in her massage therapy work as it allows her to pin-point and understand the individual needs of every client.
In addition to her personal training and massage therapy work, she is also a nationally qualified NPC (National Physique Committee) bikini competitor. She has placed in the top 5 in all of her competitions, and took a 1st place Open Bikini win in the NPC Georgia State Championship.
She uses a variety of massage techniques to address the needs of each individual, and is well experienced in therapeutic deep tissue, Swedish massage, neuromuscular massage, myofacial release, trigger point, reflexology, hot stone massage and pregnancy massage. When Frankie is not working as a massage therapist, she spends time exercising at the gym, running 5K races, doing outdoor activities and watching movies. She is a foodie and loves wine tasting too.
